I am honored that you have chosen Family Photography for your session. You will find a plethora of information and sample images from the studio shot by Leslie and prepared with you in mind, to make your session go smoothly.

The White Room is a portion of my studio where everything is neutral and ...yes white!
This room gives us the ability to focus on connections, expressions, and capturing the simple classic subject of a baby!

What do I wear?
Pick a classic white. White t-shirt, white dress, white blouse, etc. We do want to stay away from patterns and words etc. But even a plain t-shirt or tank top can be amazing in the studio setting!
Studio Wardrobe?
We do offer a select wardrobe in the studio. These items have been curated and remain at the studio for your use for ease of client and aesthetics, they look good with what I am wanting to capture in this space.
We do have everything a newborn and young infant will need to ear or use for the session ready and washed at the studio. White footed sleepers, rompers, and blankets are a few of the options you will see me use.
Props?
Props are limited due to the simplistic desire that comes from this specific space.
For newborns some baskets and white props can be used. For babies we use a few handpicked props fir birthday and milestones.

For Maternity Sessions
Documenting this time with you or your family and children is the most memorable thing to conclude your pregnancy and remember it forever!

For Newborn Sessions
To help you make sure baby is prepared for your session, we have found these hints to be especially useful:
bring extra diapers, milk, pacifiers, etc with you for a well stocked diaper bag.
It is best to bathe baby the morning of your session, paying close attention to his/her skin and using a moisturizer like Aquafor to help prevent too much skin peel.
Try to time your arrival where you can feed baby at the studio right before we begin. I will continue setting up while you get baby fed and undressed.
The studio will be warm so you may want to bring your clothing with you to put on after you arrive.
I always have water bottles but feel free to bring snacks or a meal if you do need or want to!
Young Newborns ( 0-4 weeks)
Your baby will be sleepiest in the first 10-14 days of life and we love having our newborns in at that time if you want a more classic newborn session. Babies are wrapped gently and loosely or wearing a white sleeper.

We do enjoy customizing images with small special items or sentiments that are important to your family. This mama wanted to recognize this as their rainbow baby, and it is easy to add a few well thought out pops of color for this very thing. Let's plan this shot or another you may have in mind if this is important to you!

Older Newborns (5-12 weeks)
By this age babies are awake longer, starting to recognize their people, and can be oriented by talking and noises to get interaction with them.
What about Siblings?
Bring them!
The white room is a perfect place to just be. There are no big props to work around or a "set" to stay inside of. We can easily adapt to each child and make it so that they are seen, and their real selves are captured.

For Milestones and Cake Smashes
These sessions are so fun, baby is moving around and is truly their own little person, ready to give me all the smiles and coo's.
For cake smashes here are some things to bring:
A favorite white outfit or gently colored outfit if you do not want to use a studio set
baby wipes, wet wash cloths, and towel
plastic bag for used items
an outfit for you in case you get "caked"
*These items below are all part of the client closet!
And.......Yes! Families too!

If you have any questions, you can always reach out!
Your session will take place at the FP Studios in Gibsonville. This is a detached full-service studio at Leslie's home. 7343 Dew Sharpe Road in Gibsonville. You will need to turn left onto the private gravel drive and proceed to the last home on the right. There is a barn quilt with the numbers at the bottom of the driveway. Please come to the door beside the garage where you will also see my photography sign.
